SIA Kazanova Moonshine ("we", "us") processes personal data of visitors to this website in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Personal Data Processing Law of the Republic of Latvia. This policy explains what data we collect, for what purposes, on what legal basis, and what your rights are.

Through the tour booking form:

E-mail address
Special requests (free text, optional)
Desired date and time, group size, guide language

Through cookies and technical data:

PHPSESSID (session, technically necessary) — enables site functionality
kazanova_age_ok (12 months, technically necessary) — remembers your 18+ confirmation
kazanova_cookie_consent (12 months, technically necessary) — stores your cookie preference
Server logs: IP, User-Agent, URL, time — standard nginx, retained 30 days

What we do NOT collect: payment data (payments happen on kazanova.lv — separate controller), document IDs, medical data, biometrics.

3. Purposes & legal bases

Processing your booking request — GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) pre-contract

4. Retention periods

Booking data: 3 years from the tour date (statute of limitations under Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Law)
E-mail correspondence: up to 12 months after communication ends
Cookies: maximum 12 months or until consent is withdrawn
Server logs: 30 days

5. Third-party transfers

Hostinger (Latvia/EU) — hosting provider, data processor
Google LLC (USA) — embedded Google Maps. Loaded only after your cookie consent. US transfer is based on Standard Contractual Clauses (EU-US Data Privacy Framework, in effect since 2023)
cdn.jsdelivr.net — public CDN for JavaScript libraries (Three.js)
SIA Kazanova Moonshine — kazanova.lv — our shop on a separate domain. When you go there, kazanova.lv becomes an independent controller for its own processes
Government authorities — only upon a formal lawful request (PTAC, VID, police, Latvian courts)

We do not sell, rent, or transfer your data for marketing purposes to any third party.

Terms of Service

These terms govern the booking of tours and tastings at SIA Kazanova Moonshine craft distillery, made through this website kazanova.info. By making a booking, you agree to these terms.

1. Service description

Distillery tour — 60–90 minutes
Tasting of all 9 of our spirits (50 ml portions)
By prior appointment only, minimum group size 10 people
Persons aged 18 and above only — ID may be requested on site

2. Pricing & payment

€ 200 + VAT 21% per group up to 10 (fixed price)
+ €20 + VAT for each additional guest above 10
Payment on site — cash, bank transfer or card
Invoices issued from SIA Kazanova Moonshine for legal entities

3. Cancellation & rescheduling

Cancellation 48+ hours before the tour — free
Cancellation 24–48 hours before — 50% retained
Cancellation less than 24 hours or no-show — 100% retained
Rescheduling free of charge if requested 48+ hours ahead and slots are available
If we cancel (force majeure, illness) — full refund or rescheduling at the customer's choice

4. Responsible consumption

Excessive alcohol consumption is harmful to your health. The service is intended only for persons aged 18+. We do not recommend the visit for pregnant women, persons with chronic liver or pancreatic conditions, or those taking medication incompatible with alcohol. Do not drive after the tasting — we will help arrange a taxi.

5. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. All disputes are settled in courts of general jurisdiction in Latvia. Consumers may also contact the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC) — www.ptac.gov.lv or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform — ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
